Deck Rebuild & Upgrade

Deck rebuild in McDonald, TN with vinyl clad posts, composite deck boards, composite railings

Project Type: Deck rebuild

Location: McDonald, Tennessee

Key features: Vinyl clad posts, sealed joist tops, composite deck boards, composite railing with metal spindles

Located along the driveway, this deck had reached the end of its service life. Structural joists were sagging and deteriorating, deck boards were failing, and several support posts were rotting from the top down due to prolonged moisture exposure.

The project required more than surface replacement. We removed compromised framing, replaced damaged posts, and installed new structural joists to restore proper support and stability. To prevent future deterioration, each joist was protected to shed water and reduce the risk of top-down rot — a common failure point in exterior framing.

For long-term durability and reduced maintenance, the posts were clad in PVC, and the decking and railing system were rebuilt using composite materials designed to resist rot and weather exposure.

The result is a structurally sound, low-maintenance deck built to perform reliably for years to come.
